Batam 2D1N

Went to Batam for a wkend getaway on Saturday morning.

Lubby came to fetch me in the morning. Drove to Harbour Frt, parked the car and went for Mac breakfast there. Yup his car was parked at HF for 2 days coz after calculation, the carpark charges for 2 days are alrite, maybe even less than the total cost of us taking taxi.

After breakfast went to collect our tickets and then it was waiting time again. Finally we got onto the ferry and then off we went~ Didn’t eat the seasick medicine and heng I nv got seasick.

Reached Batam at around lunch time. Upon check in, the lady ask if we were there for a honeymoon or anniversary? And she said ‘if you are on anniversary, we will…’ and before she finished her sentence, Lubby said ‘no’ and she said ok nvm. I think we might get some mysterious gift or what if we were there to celebrate our anni! Should have said yes huh.. Anyway we got our room upgraded free of charge to Cabana room. And it was damn far away la.. it was the 3rd last Cabana along the stretch~

The room was quite big. But air con not strong! Anyway they have decorated the bed with rose petals. We even got 2 pairs of orange slippers. And one cool thing abt the toilet is that the roof is actually glass! U can see the sky~ and the bathtub was also decorated with petals…

Put down our things and off we went for lunch. We did not look at the menu and sumhow decided to get the buffet at S$14. WASTE $ LA! Coz the food selection was limited and not nice!! Should have just ordered their dishes or meals.

Then it was swimming time~ when we walked over to the pool it was raining! But we didn’t care and just went ahead with the swim and then the sun was out after a while~ And I didn’t put sunblk coz it was raining. Anyway we just swimmed, nua-ed, took photo with my new water-prove camera, played water basketball. It was relaxing and fun~ =)

Next up was our massage. Walked to the building and we were led to a small hut where there were beds and a bathtub. It was my 2nd time doing a massage and it was really relaxing. But Lubby was feeling rather uneasy coz he said he did not like to have other ladies touching him. Haha. And one funny thing is when he opened his eyes in the middle of the massage, the lady was wiping off her sweat! Haha. Lubby said that the lady was using all her strength to massage his big big body. Haha. And silly Lubby was in pain coz she massaged him so hard and yet he just gek his muscle which ended up more pain. Silly Lubby should just inform them ma. After the 1 hr massage we were entitled to 30min of herbal bath. Nice. =)

Then we went back for a bath before going for our candlelight dinner. We were allowed to either have the set meals or the BBQ buffet and we chose the latter. Though the food selection was more than lunch, but the food was still not v nice. There was live band singing and the singer kept walking ard to ask ppl to sing. There was this uncle who has got quite a gd voice and he sang a few songs! Haha. Then they called out some birthday boy’s/ger’s names and they were invited up and each given a small cake. With all of us singing bday songs, they celebrated their bday with so many of us. So sweet.
After dinner, time for bowling. We were given one free game each. But all the while I didn’t like bowling coz I always do not have any strength to throw the ball and thus it will always end up in the drain! And this time round it’s worse and thus I gave Lubby to play my game too.

And perhaps it was because of the massage or the swim, I fell aslp very soon. But the air con was damn hot that I perspired a lot and keep waking up. I even woke up in the middle of the night because I got tummy ache! And then Lubby also woke up and had diarrhoea.

The next day we went for breakfast, which was of limited choice of food and most were not nice again. Then we packed and checked out and took the free shuttle bus to Nagoya Shopping Mall. Heard fr HX that the tshirts there are cheap and thus made my way there and bought myself 2 tops only. Because the sizes are kinda small for the big fat me! =( Should have bought more because the tees are really super cheap. S$4.60 for 2 tshirt! But of coz the material was not good and I can forsee the tees being out of shape after wearing 2-3 times? But still it was a very gd deal! We then had A&W for lunch. Shopped around for more but Lubby was kinda disappointed because he thought he could get perfume there but everything was either ‘chiong’ or no brand and thus he was not able to get anything.

Went back to hotel and waited for the van to send us to the ferry terminal.

As I received an sms fr YT that she really got the C brand bag as there were really sales, we decided to go to the Raffles City outlet to take a look too. Saw one which is white and silver and original price was $600++ and after discount it was $400++. Tempted to get but the sales person said that it was not a everyday bag as the leather was sprayed with silver paint and it might drop due to wear and tear. And thus we have decided to go to the TAKA outlet and take a look another day.

It was a very fun and relaxing wkend and I wanna go for more~ =)
